An easy way to add GPS navigation to your car, Garmin's StreetPilot i3 is designed for commuters, college students, and corporate travelers who are looking to experience the ease and enjoyment of GPS satellite navigation for the first time. The unit is uncomplicated to operate thanks to a "click-to-enter" scroll wheel and a "back" button letting you select a destination from the i3's menu-driven interface. It secures in your car via an integrated suction mount that attaches to your windshield and is easily removed for use in other vehicles.

Turn-by-turn voice-prompted directions get you to your destination without having to take your eyes off the road. If you miss a turn, the i3 will put you right back on course. And since the unit features an integrated speaker, you don't have to connect it to you car's audio system.The 1.7x1.3-inch, 32,000-color, sunlight-readable LCD with backlight means you won't have to struggle to see your next turn whether you're in the bright sun or dark of night. You can also choose between a three-dimensional navigation view and a more traditional overhead bird's-eye view.

The i3 comes with a built-in micro SD (Transflash) card slot and 128MB card for storing maps. Simply connect the unit via USB with the card installed and transfer MapSource City Navigator street data (on an included DVD) for the specific area you're interested in. With a larger microSD card and you can store even more maps! You can also import customized points of interest with Garmin's free POI Loader software. Upload safety cameras or school zones, and you will receive a warning if you are traveling too fast. In addition, an optional proximity-alert feature notifies you of upcoming custom POIs.
