listing indicates minor blemish/scratch/dent.  is this located on the screen or is it aesthetic-only on the case?

The iPad 2 32GB 9.7 tablet I received looked like new and did not have any blemishes or scratches on it that I could find. I don't know if all of them are in this good of condition but since they mention the blemishes/scratches the one you get could possibly have a blemish. I think that if the screen had a bad scratch it would be changed out when it was refurbished. Most refurbished products say that it may have a blemish or scratch but that does not mean it will have, just that it could have. I buy a lot of refurbished electronic products and have always had very good luck with the products looking and working like new. The bugs have been found and fixed when you buy refurbished, as long as you buy a good brand product.

why does it say  ATT? ...will it work as a tablet under Verizon service?

It says AT&T because you can add an inexpensive AT&T SIM card to the tablet, purchase an inexpensive pay-as-you-go-plan from AT&T and enable the tablet for cellular network data usage, in addition to the WiFi capability that is already in the tablet.  Handy if you want to connect when you are away from your WiFi.

AT7T and TMobile use the same cellular frequencies and celllular signal formats.  But if the phone is setup for AT&T, I do not believe you can connect it to the Verizon network because theirs is a different celllular signal and format.

Don't know why it says that in description but the iPad will update to OS 8.1.3.  My iPad updated to 8.1.2 when I got it at Christmas time, now OS 8.1.3 is out and my iPad is showing the udate ready to be installed.

I just bought the same model, and it does have WIFI capabilities, but not cellular functions.  As long as I have access to WIFI, I can use the Internet on my iPad.  Thus far, I have not had any problems.  Worse case scenario, I can use my phone as a hotspot if I need Internet access and WIFI is not available.  I hope this helps.

I think they will be random. I ordered one and about every corner was scratched and dinged like they dropped it several times. Also a scratch on the back. Definitely a used Ipad. Screen is not scratched but dirt spots under the glass which really annoys me!
