Is this phone gsm?

This phone is gsm. I own this phone and use it on at&t, works great! This phone will also work on t-mobile. One last thing, because this version is duos ( duel sim) on the back of the phone it says Duos instead of Samsung Galaxy S8+.

Are these dual SIM versions manufactured by Samsung itself?

yes. the only real difference between this and the single SIM version is the tray adapter for this one fits two nano SIM cards. the other just has 1 for a SIM and the other for a mini sdhc card.

I own both the single and the dual SIM versions of this phone. one from at&t store and the dual SIM version from newegg.
