will this phone work with straight talk?

I read that straight talk uses the Verizon network which uses CDMA technology. This phone is a GSM unlocked phone. GSM is a different (much more common worldwide) system used in the US by AT&T, T-Mobile and a number of other smaller companies. I'm not 100% it wouldn't work, but I wouldn't risk buying this phone to use with Straight Talk.

Can this phone be used on Verizon?

The Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML) is a GSM/HSPA/LTE compatible phone. This phone will not work on the Verizon's CDMA network.

In the U.S., CDMA carriers use network-based white lists to verify their subscribers. That means you can only switch phones with your carrier's permission, and a carrier doesn't have to accept any particular phone onto its network. It could, but typically, U.S. carriers choose not to.
Many Sprint and Verizon phones now have SIM cards, but that isn't because of CDMA. The SIM cards are generally there for Sprint's and Verizon's 4G LTE networks, because the LTE standard also uses SIM cards. The phones may also have SIM slots to support foreign GSM networks as "world phones." But those carriers still use CDMA to authenticate their phones on their own home networks. Since the Zenfone use GSM and LTE it would not be able to be used on the Verizon or Sprint networks. Compatible networks would be AT&T, T-Mobile and perhaps some smaller carriers.. Since a few days the phone has so many ghosts that every day of increase and become unusable equipment?

Hi, ill try to answer your question if I can because honestly I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. What are "ghosts"? Do you mean there are ghost images on your screen that are burnt in? Contact ASUS if under warranty so they can fix it. Is it that it lags because apps stay on? Clear the RAM by boosting your phone with the ASUS cleaner app. It works for me. Is it that it has viruses or malware that pop up on their own? Have you tried doing a factory reboot? This might solve a lot of problems if the phone is just full of junk apps. I hope one of these options help. I find that the phone is pretty great although I did have to send it to ASUS because it wouldn't start at one point. They fixed it but the service was poor. Be aware if you do send it to them for warranty repair you may have to be on top of them about it.

is it still possible to get the last special offer? that one was better albeit a little more expensive.
