No video-out listed in specs. Requesting an owner confirm there is no HDMI or video port on this model. I'd like to buy but no vid is a deal killer for me. ?

No video-out ports @ all, not that i like the phone anyway, but u can connect to it using usb cable that comes with it or wifi or direct connect to a smart tv.(i can beam video directly to tv).

Do the dual SIM support both SIM cards on LTE?

If I put a 16 GB micro sd card in this phone will I be able to transfer full apps to it since it has a custom UI or is it just like every other Android phone where having a sd card in it is pretty much useless?

Haven't seen any sd cards in phones that were useless. I have 128gb card and use it all the time: books, music, photos. Dig in the settings to move apps to sd. It depends on the app's developer to make it work.

Yes. Even works if its not activated on your carrier's plan.

Does it still come with the shirt and mug?  Or did I miss out on that sweet schwag?

It wasn't a shirt, just an elastic arm band, I didn't even take it out of the package. It might be OK if you were jogging or listening to music while working in the yard, but it's basically worthless to me.. The mug is pretty nice though, but unfortunately, I think that offer has come and gone. It's just the phone now, which by the way is an excellent phone for the price.

No, it doesn't! I had heard that the ZenFone 2 did, but the 3 does not.

Does the zenfone 3 laser have band 12 (for t-mobile enhanced LTE) ?

This is not correct. The link shows the bands used by the respective carriers not what this phone supports/has. I confirmed that this phone does not have band 12 (used in some areas by T-mobile).

Just ran into a strange issue.  I did the asus update on Thanksgiving day. My phone restarted and now it does not recognize sim. I am using it on att prepaid. Has anyone else ran into this issue?

I am having the same issue. Tried 2 different SIM cards, but phone does not recognize either. My Wi-Fi has also been unstable since the update.
