I have the Huawei Mate 9. My service provider is AT&T. I believe Consumer Cellular uses GSM Sim cards. In short yes it should work with Consumer Cellular.

I have tried to research this, but (like another person posted) I have not seen a confirmed yes or no answer, and I see that the manufacturer has actually responded to some of these reviews so I thought I'd give it a shot.  Will this phone work on Sprint's network in the US??  Thank you.

If I have done my research properly the answer is no. Verizon and Sprint use CDMA  type networks. Any time you see a phone listed as unlocked it will be incompatible as it will use GSM. I am currently a tracfone user  that is working on ATT towers.
