I've received two replacements for the original case ordered. The instructions state that the "... device [iPhone] charges first, then the case." Well, the case charges fine, but the phone neither syncs nor charges. I've made certain that the connection to the phone is snug, but no go. Any thoughts?

It may be your iPhone. I have had no problems at all and purchased 6 others for family and they love it and have had no problems except 1 because they had a 3s then went to 5s which this case is not compatible for some reason. I think seidio only made them for the 4 and 4s. Hope this helps. Try taking your phone to an apple store and they can run a diagnostic test to see if your phone has an issue. Assuming it is a 4 or 4s.
