No HDMI output. It is WIFI or hard wired to your home network. Need to be viewed from computer / phone

Can you see the LEDS when you look at the camera in the dark?

Most cameras like these have IR LEDS that glow red when in the dark, some have IR LEDS that don't glow red and can't be seen with the naked eye.   I want the camera to be as covert as possible so that if a person walks into a somewhat dark room they don't immediately see the glowing red camera.

No...  The IR LEDs are NOT visible at night, but I did have to put tape over the power and activity LEDs because they screamed "Look at me!"  All that aside, this has been the best WiFi 1080p camera I have ever bought!

Upon motion alarm, will this camera send photos to an email address?

I don't see a way to have the camera send images that are captured because of motion alarm via email.  It can notify you of motion via email, but it will just be an informational message and will not contain the images captured.  In addition it can also upload the captured images to an FTP server upon motion detection (NOTE, SFTP is not an option).

Will this support SD Card overwriting (ie if the card is full, will it rewrite from the beginning)?

Also, can the SD Card be used for recording while PoE is used for power (I have a nearby computer, but don't want to have this camera recording to it)?

Yes, you can record to the SD card and the oldest recording files will be overwrite when there is no more space on SD card.

Yes, the camera will record while on PoE and can remotely record to PC using factory software that can be download from the website.

I tried a Sony 64GB and it would not recognize so I believe 32GB.

Can this be used with a lap top with Windows 7 on it? We have it hooked up and can get a live view but when hitting record we cannot find where the file went and have tried to change the locations the files go even and still do not find any files of video recorded. It also isn't going into the "playback" area.

If you have a NAS or if you set up a file share on your Windows 7 laptop, you should be able to have the recordings saved there instead of the local SDCard.  I have not tried this myself, as I also just record to the SDCard, but there are also options in the "Storage" configuration menu to connect to SMB/CIFS (as well as NFS) shares (you can configure 8!).

Can this be mounted outside underneath the overhang of a roof without putting the camera at serious risk of damage?

This is definitely an INDOOR camera.  IF you lived in fairly mellow climate area (SoCal, etc.) and this was protected from direct rain, etc., it might last a while, but I WOULD NOT advise it.  It was made for indoors and you risk a short or worse (fire, etc.) from a unit not truly sealed against the elements.  If you were running it from a POE connection, you could even short back into other equipment.

The other question is "why?"  There are a lot of other options that are better for outdoor use.  You should be able to find a unit better suited for that type of use.  Or, there was at least one review I saw where someone had one of these pointed out a window to cover some outdoor areas.
