Webcams are now tried and true technology, and with prices lower than ever, ABS has decided it's time to start amping up their capabilities.
You could use this camera as an ordinary webcam, but you might consider that over-kill after you finish reading up on it. After all, this camera features infrared LEDs so it can see in the dark, two-way audio (external speaker required), the ability to pan and scan, and intelligent motion detection. Also, it comes with free software that lets you monitor up to sixteen cameras. So, how about an inexpensive security system, instead? You can use relatively inexpensive CAT 5 or CAT 6 cable or go wireless, and with the ability to send it over the Internet, you don't even have to be on-site to monitor a location. No specialized monitors or recorders, either.
Look around and decide if it meets your needs, but I think you'll be impressed. It might even save you thousands of dollars over other systems.
