Are the speakers wireless?

No they are not, so there is a limit on how far you can put them. Otherwise, you need to purchase longer cables.

Yes, the system came with a very nice medium size remote. Remote works well and the buttons layout is very comfortable. There were no batteries supplied for the remote, so besure to have 2 AAA batteries on hand.

does this device has am and fm radio ?

No tuner on board. It plays Blu-ray discs, and, when connected to the internet can stream Netflix, VuDu, and Pandora. Pretty handy; a lot like a 'smart TV'. To my experience with the unit I received, it fails 90% of the time at playing standard DVDs all the way through, stopping and freezing the player about midway through the movie. This has been my experience with the unit I was sent, about 90% of the times that I have tried. I have since discontinued using it and reboxed it to a closet.

Not to my knowledge. But it does have very good sound for a small system. The BluRay has performed flawlessly.

it plays all types of discs but has outdated hardware is very slow on delivery and trying to navigate through the unit. push the button and wait syndrome. other than that it does play

how do i watch netflix on this home theater? do i have to pay? i have a router here does the router works?

You don't have to pay any extra to watch Netflix with this device, but you do need to have a Netflix streaming account.  There is a menu choice to connect this device to your account.

The network connection on the RCA is wired ethernet port.  You have to be able to run a network cable to your router to attach it to the network.  Once on your home network it should be able to connect to Netflix to finish the connection to your account.

it could be if you have a usb antenna . yes the speakers are like shown very nice speakers and the sound is great an very loud . very easy to use for netflix havent tried vudu  im thinking about getting another one

I just received my unit and got things all set up.  However, I cannot get ANY sound when using the optical input.  I see light coming through, but it's dead silence.  I am selecting the "Optical" button and it shows in the unit's display.  I've tried multiple output devices and 2 toslink cables.  Has anyone else seen this issue?  I'm already thinking I'll need to RMA this, right out of the box...

Mine hooked up just fine.  I am using it as a speaker system for my computer.  I have it attached via optical, too.  I had to attach the video out through a capture device so I could set the balance, sub, etc.   Getting the volume balanced between my computer and the system took a little effort.  I wait to turn it on until I am completely booted up, otherwise it comes on at full volume.  Have you tried it standalone with a DVD?

Does this item have a port for auxiliary input? (e.g. mp3 layer or phone)

The device features two inputs - one optical SPDIF (tos-link) connection and a stereo L/R RCA pair (AUX).  If you're outputting from a standard phone or MP3 player that uses the 3.5mm jack, you'll need a headphone to RCA cable (usually around $5 in an A/V store).  This allows you to use the device as external speakers for your television set, while it does the source switching.
