no it dosnt come with an optical cable. mine was refurbished but everything was included so there was no optical cable but over all its a good sounding sound bar i give it a 4 outta 5 hope this helps

Question 2

My soundbar does not give any volume anymore.  When I turn it on, I only get a solid white light whenever the INPUT button is pressed (whether by remote or manually) and none of the input channels give volume.  Has this happened to anyone and does someone have a solution for this issue?

Try unplugging the power cord and waiting 5 minutes. Reconnect the power and turn the sound bar on manually. If it still doesn't function using the manual buttons, then it sounds like your electronics have failed, I don't know of any other way to reset the electronics.

Question 3

Does this Soundbar really have a subwoofer out? The pictures for the unit on Newegg show a Sub out but when you look up the model on Vizio's site it does not show a Sub out.

Yes it does have a sub out. I only received a 2-page instruction sheet when I got the item but I went on-line and did a search for vsb200 user manual, i found one and was able to download a complete manual for it, you may want to do that too.

will it be sufficient for a 43 in vizio?

Remote is included.
No subwoofer.
I did not notice any scratches or breaks on my unit.
Shipping, check when you add it to cart.
More than sufficient for 43 inch but that is a matter of personal taste.
The sound sometimes will cut out when using the optical input and you have to unplug and plug in power cable to reset.

Question 5

can this be connected to a 47" wall mount tv??

It won't mount "to your TV" but can mount on the wall below your TV.  The brackets are adjustable so it can sit on a table for horizontal mounting or can be repositioned so the sound bar can mount on a vertical wall surface.

I am using the digital optical cable connection from my TV to the sound bar for audio.  I also am using a cable for the sub woofer output of the sound bar to my floor sitting sub woofer.  The power supply cable must also be connected to the sound bar from an AC outlet.

That's it as far as mounting options and connections.

Question 6

Two questions:
1. Saw a review saying this model does not come with tweeters, is this true?
2. Am i able to operate this device with my TV/Cable box remote? I like to keep remote clutter down, my tv does have a optical audio out and is a vizio as well.

To be honest, I don't think it has tweeters. I can't even tell if it has 1 or 2 speakers on each side. But I can tell you this: It has full range sound! You can hear the highs very well and good middles (where the voices/dialogs are). I have a subwoofer plugged in that gives it an incredible bottom sound. The SRS surround works well and the volume is good enough!!! I bought 3 so far. I think for the price you can't beat it!
Regarding the remote: It's very tinny and it has those small coin batteries. I use my TV remote to turn it on and off. It's pugged into the headphone output from the TV so I just have the Vizio Bar at 85% volume and go up and down with the TV remote.

I'm unsure if it is 2.0 or not, though the model number is VSB200 and not VSB100... either way, is there a certain feature in 2.0 that you'd be expecting?

do I need a powered or passive sub woofer, what should a comparable quality sub woofer cost?

It will only work with a powered sub.  You don't "need" a sub with it.  This is an OK soundbar, I would recommend listening to the soundbar first and then decide if you want a sub with it.
