The WB-14 is for those who want home theater or stereo speakers that look as good as they sound. Compared to traditional bookshelf speakers, Klipsch WB-14 takes up less space while still delivering dynamic and detailed sound. It employees the new XT Tractrix Horn design that delivers a wider dispersion pattern—80 x 80 degrees—than a traditional Klipsch Tractrix Horn. In the XT design, Klipsch added “graceful bumps” to the horn so its flare isn’t quite as fast. This forces the sound wave that is traveling down the length of the horn to stay in contact with the horn walls. As long as you can fully illuminate the internal volume of the horn consistently at all frequencies, the more consistent the horn dispersion will be.
Slim StatureThe Klipsch WB-14 bookshelf speaker features a space-saving, slim design for a perfect match with your flat-panel TV, plasma monitors and other thin-line home cinema components. The all-new proprietary XT Tractrix Horn technology allows the slim Icon W speakers to deliver a wider sound field, while also providing more latitude in placement.
Exceptional Sound QualityThe Klipsch WB-14 bookshelf speaker boasts a 4.5" high-output, fiberglass cone woofer, a 1" titanium diaphragm compression driver mated to a 3.75" 80 x 80 round Tractrix horn to deliver precise highs and amazing lows for an immersive listening experience. Traditional wide dispersion horns have fast expansion rates (or taper rates) resulting in large “mouths” and shallow depths - the root cause of the dispersion uniformity. The XT engineering takes Klipsch’s time-proven philosophy to new heights by adding “graceful bumps” to the horn, delivering low distortion with wide consistent soundstage.
Magnetically ShieldedUsing magnetic grille with no visible fasteners on baffle, the magnetically-shielded Klipsch WB-14 can be put at any proximity to display devices such as TVs and LCD monitors without loss of sound quality caused by interference. Threaded insert allows for easy wall mounting.
