Sure, you can always modify many aspects of the computer later. Be it adding more RAM, switching the DVD drive, etc. Of course you're going to need a basic understanding of computers and make sure you buy a compatible memory module.

Whats the specification for the PCI slots? I thinking the black colored slot would be x16, but I cant say for sure.

Nothing came with my system. I just made a backup set of disks when I first started it up. Most refurb systems that I have purchased prompt you to make backup disks the first time the system is used. Usually it takes about 5 disks to complete the task.

What does everyone use for a monitor, I would like to hook up to a tv, does it have hdmi output?

I have a widescreen LCD monitor hooked to my ThinkCentre, it has a standard cable connection. There are 8 USB ports but no HDMI port. There is a SATA port. If your TV has a USB port you could connect through it. Hope this helps.

What type of ram comes with this?

It has 4 RAM slots.  Two slots are occupied with 1 gigabytes sticks of PC2-5300 DDR2 RAM  You can add two more 1 gigabyte sticks of PC2-5300 DDR2 RAM for a total of 4 gigabytes, which I did.  The Windows 7 OS is 32 bit, so the laptop will only see and use about 3.5 gigabytes but that is still a speed improvement if you want to go in that direction.

Can I get this computer with 64bit Windows instead of 32bit?

I am embarrassed to say that I never checked what version of Windows7 this came with but assumed it was 64 bit as the processor ist 64 bit. I bought this for my sister who is barely computer literate and I doubt if I could walk her through checking for me. She is not close enough for me to go check.

On another note I also bought a Lenova M58 for my wife a few months ago and it is almost exactly the same computer (slightly faster and larger HD) and it did come with 64 bit Windows 7. They both seem to be very nice for the money. A bit of advice is to upgrade the bios. Lenova has much newer versions on their web site and there was a noticeable improvement in overall feel of the computer.

Did anybody receive this desktop with Windows 7 32 bit OS?
I did the online MS update (109 updates). Even after that,
I still read a 32 bit OS.

An OS does not "Patch update" from 32 bit to 64 bit.  It's a complete re-install.
