The MSI PRO DP21 14MA-1259US is a compact desktop with an Intel Core i5-14400, 16GB DDR4 memory, and a 1TB PCIe SSD, suited to business and home users who want responsive everyday productivity in a space-saving system.
Recommended For
- Home-office and small-business users who need a compact Windows desktop for office apps, web-based work, email, and video calls, with the option to keep it off the main desk or mount it behind a monitor.
- Retail, reception, and office setups that connect several peripherals or legacy serial equipment: the DP21’s USB ports and COM port suit desks where device connectivity matters more than a large tower.
- Desk-based users who want a two-monitor work setup for documents, dashboards, and communication apps; MSI lists HDMI and DisplayPort outputs and dual-display support.
- Small-office users who want a compact preconfigured desktop rather than assembling a PC, while retaining the option to add up to two 2.5-inch storage drives.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- For everyday office work—such as editing documents, managing email, using spreadsheets, and keeping multiple browser tabs open—the DP21 is positioned as a practical business desktop; MSI’s product page identifies the series for business and office use.
- In a small office or reception area, it can serve as a compact workstation for browser-based business tools, document handling, and routine counter tasks, while taking up less space than a conventional tower.
- For a two-screen desk setup—such as keeping a spreadsheet on one display and email or a browser on the other—the DP21 series supports dual displays, which can make routine office multitasking easier to arrange.
- In a home office, it suits routine work like web browsing, email, video calls, and streaming between tasks; an independent review of an earlier DP21 configuration found it handled common browsing and video-conferencing tasks well, though that result is not a test of this exact configuration.
- When desk space is limited, the small chassis can be placed out of the way or mounted behind a compatible monitor, leaving the desk clearer for paperwork and peripherals.
