Question 1

What is the memory configuration for this?  Is it one 8gb stick, two 4gb sticks, or four 2gb sticks?  I want to order additional memory to boost it to 16gb but need to know what size sticks and how many.

I buy many e73 and m83. They have in the past come with two 4. The last few I have bought have come with one 8. The m83 should have 4 banks with one 8 in it, like my last one. Even if it comes with two 4, I would still buy one 8 to add, leaving one open bank for future. or even two 8, to make 24 ram. Now the e73 only has 2 banks so when it is shipped with two 4,  you're already bank filled.  You can Google thinkcenter M83 motherboard and E73 motherboard and look at the images.  As always I can only speak to what I've seen and gotten, but I would say you will receive the same. Also I use ddr3 1600 because a it is more compliant, I'm sure 1866 / 2400 should work if you want, I just can't take risks of something not working in my application. Good luck and they are a great machine.

Question 2

I did not see any audio information on the specs. Is there a sound card if so what kind or it this integrated audio?

There is a small speaker mounted internally you the front face which is powered directly from the mobo. Probably not the audio specs you're looking for but I'd imagine it'll play music.

Question 3

Is there an HDMI port for a monitor and if not how many connections are there and what type for dual monitors?

The video card that comes with the computer has an DVI port and a Display port.  The mainboard has two display ports and one VGA port on it so running a dual monitor solution should not be a problem.   I usually just purchase a display port -> HDMI cable or Display port -> DVI cable to take advantage of those extra video ports.

what is the memory expansion capability on this one?

Mine came with a single 8gb stick installed in one of 4 slots. It is upgradeable to 32gb. I haven't opened it to determine the specific RAM card that is installed.  Hope that helps!

OS spec says
"Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit preinstalled through downgrade rights in Windows 8.1 Pro 64-Bit"
Does this mean i have to manually downgrade from win 8 to win 7?
If so how difficult will it be?
or is win 7 the default os?
