How is the quality? I'm thinking of buying one, I'm not sure though because there are other brands for cheaper?

I am a watch aficianado and can tell you the following:

For a *Smart Watch* the quality is fantastic...

For a *watch* the quality is somewhat below mechanical or digital watches in the same price range.

The links are held together with tension pins, not screw out pins, and the quality of the metal band is what I would call "good enough"... the leather band is higher quality, however again does not compare to a mechanical or digital watch that might be in the same price range.

Is this watch water resistant or water proof in any way?

The Huawei Watch has an IP67 water and dust resistance rating, meaning that you can use it when washing your hands, cooking, washing your car, or when it is raining. However, the watch is not designed for swimming, diving, or prolonged submersion in water.  You can wear your HUAWEI WATCH when you're washing your hands or in the rain, but wipe it dry if it comes into contact with water.  Do not wear it when washing cars, swimming, diving, scuba diving, or showering.
