I can't find the contrast ratio in the description. Which really matters, my father has a TV with contrast 1:5000 and I have 1:300 000 or something like that, and you can tell the difference. The price is good, so I'm looking for the catch to it..?

Is this a SMART TV?

No, it is not a SMART TV. There's no apps included and it is limited in the amount and types of A/V inputs that it has on board. It does however have a very clean and clear picture and is a very good TV for the price.

where does this tv fit in based on 1-10 rating 10 high?

You should be aware of the fact this is a discontinued model, the owners manual is only available on line (which is kinda dumb since this IS NOT a smart TV), and I have seen numerous complaints about "smearing" in scanning scenes as well as light leaks around the edges and mounting points. Over all rates as a mediocre TV but still good for the price/size ratio.

One of the comments states that "There are only 2-HDMI's and none of the old RCA or component inputs", but in specifications provided on another site it states, "Inputs: 2 HDMI, 1 USB Video, 1 Composite, 1 Component"...and one of the pictures of the TV's back would would seem to confirm that there is a composite and a component inputs...so which is correct?
