does this tv include the one connect box?

Yes, it includes a one connect box. Scroll down on the Specifications tab and you'll see it mentioned.

Some sites have different spec for the same part # un6500hu9000. Why do some have max resolution at 1080p and others have it at 2160p? I one inferior to the other?

They have a 1080p model and a 4k model, I don't know how they would be the same part number.. maybe a mistake on the stores part.

Our cable company says that their modem boxes currently only support the 1080p standard. Will we notice any picture enhancement by going to the UHD television at this time ?

Larry: This is the clearest TV I've ever seen, personally. Even at 1080p. We've enjoyed having it in our home. I'm looking forward to more 4K programming, however.
