can this be used as a monitor ?

Absolutely, there is even a "monitor" setting on it to make sure that you can see your entire window. I use this as a monitor and a Sharp, and this one was actually easier to set up.  Just look for the seven called "monitor".
You can connected via an HDMI cable or the old-style, 15-pin D-Sub monitor cable aka VGA cable.

Question 2

Upon initial startup, hooked up on PC VGA , the TV launches a "LED Lighting" Banner showing its various fatures in Icons across a 3" strip on top of screen. It keeps popping up and won't go away for good. Anyone have same issue and know how to shut it off? Thanks, E

That would be the E-Pop mode under the Menu-Option setting. Set it to off and the LED strip shuts down.

BTW-- ordered 2 of these and 1 of the 50 inch for vacation home.  Outstanding picture and quality for value.  I have several Samsung, Panasonic, etc. as well as a cheap Sceptre.  Picture quality compares very favorably to much more expensive brands.  Sound surprisingly good (which is major weakness of Sceptre).  Great picture, sound, and layout.  A true videophile may quibble, but for everyday TV and movies, the value cannot be beat.

AC 120V 50/60Hz is the power supply that comes with. I would think you would have to get a converter for it.

does this tv come with a remote control?

Yes, it comes with the remote control.
I am only using mine as a monitor for my small, 14 inch laptop. I'm sure it is just in the settings, but after the TV runs for two hours straight, the screen says "health notice: you have been watching TV for two hours".  It then wants to turn itself off unless you press one of the buttons on the remote control. It would actually be a nice feature if you happen to use it as a TV and fall asleep on the couch. That way you don't wake up at 5 AM with the TV still running.  Setup was a breeze.

Yes.  Standard VESA mounting layout for mounting.  Most any TV mount that is VESA compliant and supports the weight of this TV should work just fine.

How do you remove the base connector when wall mounting. It comes attached to the screen and it just kind of sticks out and I cannot figure how to remove it. Not the base itself but the part where the base connects to?

There are several screws that hold the base. Take those screws out from the bottom and the plastic base comes off. Good luck.

How good would this tv be for the ps4 graphics?

I think it would be great.  So far I am very pleased with this tv. The picture quality is great & having 3 HDMI is a plus. So far between tv, dvd's, blu ray & gaming it has impressed me for a name that I had not heard of.
My Ps3 & 360 looks great on it, dont have a 4. I also run some emu's on it & my Gamecube & ps2. It has been great in the gaming part too.  I would not mind getting 3 of these for a triple monitor setup for a racing rig. For the price I dont think it can be beat. I would buy this again. It is a great tv. :)
