LG PABF25RTHL BDR-XL 100GB 4x Speed

The LG PABF25RTHL is a 100GB BD-R XL disc rated for up to 4x speed, suited to users who need to record large files onto compatible BDXL media.

Recommended For

• PC users creating offline copies of large photo, video, or project folders who want to fit up to 100GB on one write-once disc and have a BDXL-compatible burner.
• Photographers and video creators who need to transfer or store large completed projects on physical media, and can confirm that the destination computer has a BDXL-capable drive.
• Home archivists who prefer fewer, higher-capacity discs for infrequently accessed files, and are prepared to verify burns and keep another backup copy.
• Users making a one-time data handoff that needs more capacity than a typical 25GB or 50GB Blu-ray disc, provided the recipient can read BDXL media.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• For an offline backup of a large folder of photos, documents, or other files, burn the selected files as a data disc; the 100GB capacity can keep a substantial snapshot together on one write-once disc.
• When making a periodic copy of family photos and videos, use the disc as an offline snapshot rather than a working drive; because BD-R is write-once, later changes need a new disc or another backup method.
• For a large video or media collection, burn the files as data to reduce how often the collection must be split across lower-capacity discs; this does not by itself create a movie disc that will play in a standard Blu-ray player.
• When handing off a large set of files physically, use the disc as a removable data copy; the recipient needs a drive that supports BDXL to read it, so confirm compatibility before relying on this method.
• For a one-time archive burn, allow time for writing and read-back verification; a community test of a full 100GB BDXL disc reported that writing and verifying took several hours.
