how does it work to install a 2.5 inch drive in bay?

Sorry - it won't work if you're trying to install a 2.5" laptop hard disk drive in a desktop/tower 5.25" drive bay (made for CD/DVD drives and other large peripherals). These brackets will allow you to install a 3.5" desktop/tower hard disk drive in a desktop/tower 5.25" drive bay. I don't believe anyone makes brackets to install a 2.5" drive into a 5.25" drive bay.

Will these brackets work with "toolless" bays? I have an Antec Three Hundred Two that uses toolless bays - wherein drives basically slide and snap into place. I'm wondering if attaching these brackets to a 3.5 HDD will still "snap" into the 5.25 bay. Thanks.

I dont think so. I have an older Thermaltake case that is tool-less and i had to take out the tool-less brackets and screw these in solid. They still work in the case, but not with the Thermaltake style tool-less brackets.
