I have had mine since 2016 and I love it. Lightweight and easy to carry with my business class laptop. It has done everything I have asked of it (burning and playing commercial DVD's). However, I purchased Cyberlink Power Director with it in order to be able to have the codex  software needed to play commercial  DVD movies. As long as you have something with that capability on your system it should work great! I have used it to play them on my laptop and have not had a problem. I imagine this would be great for travel with children. Hope this helps!

The drive comes with USB 2.0 cable that connects the drive to the computer and also powers the device.

Game Discs do not use the Content Scramble System used on DVD-Video discs.  It is unlikely they are fully compatible.

yes it does play Pal formatted disk but dont forget to use pal format player to see it

To my knowledge 'No', it is advertised as a Blu-ray player/recorder with no indication of being 4K (UHD) capable.  I have recorded Blu-ray, it worked just fine.

I was not able to get this to work with my Mac but I believe it had to do more with the lack of Blu-ray player software for Mac than the player itself.
