From Street to studio, the Pioneer STEEZ Duo is geared toward the intermediate dancer or small dance group. Featuring a more robust, shock-resistant, and water-resistant design, it's perfect for both indoor and outdoor use, but is still portable and compact enough to go anywhere.
The Duo features two 40mm full-range drivers with 5 Watts of power output. 4GB of internal memory plays back your tracks in MP3, WMA, AAC, or LPCM format, plus there's a covered, retractable dock for your iPod and iPhone. Adjust your settings on the 2.4" LED QVGA screen. The STEEZ Duo is powered by 6 AA batteries or the included AC adapter.
All STEEZ models offer a unique, exclusive set of features that promotes teaching, practicing and competition among dancers, choreographers, instructors and competitors.
Tempo Control allows you to change the tempo of your music, without changing the pitch. You can use the actual track to practice your choreography at slower speeds, rather than with 8-counts and hand-clapping A wider selection of music is possible when BPM can be changed without effecting other qualities of the track.
The Dance Cue feature allows you to set a particular point in a song so that you can instantly go to it at any time. Ideal for practicing particular points in a song, setting a dance cue point is much easier than having to search for it each time. Or use 8-beat Skip to go forward or back by eight counts.
Auto Battle Mode creates a battle sequence automatically, without the need for a DJ. With Auto Battle Mode you can choose a 1-on-1 battle or group battle, choose the dance styles for the battle (ex. Hip-hop, House, etc.), set the time limit for each round, and set the number of rounds.
The LCD screen shows the time remaining for each round, whose turn it is and even includes voice prompts letting you know when you've got 10 seconds left, when your turn is up and when the battle is over.
The Dance Boost feature emphasizes specific instruments in a song like the hi-hat and bass drum so the beat is more pronounced. Perfect for use at lower volumes or when outside noise is an issue.
No need to categorize your tracks on your own and no need for a DJ. Your music is automatically categorized and grouped according to bpm, genre, etc… creating a mix based on the style of dance you want.
Control is all in the palm of your hand with a slim remote that moves with you.
The software included with all STEEZ models analyzes the digital music library on your computer (Windows PC only) and creates a "profile" for each track based on its musical qualities so that the STEEZ dance features recognize their "Music Code". Music with this new metadata can be transferred to the STEEZ internal memory via cable or USB drive. Once it's on your STEEZ, you can pick songs and build playlists according to beats per minute, genre, favorite rating, and more.
