The NET232+ DCE is an intelligent serial to Ethernet adapter for converting a DB9 female serial connector to a RJ45 Ethernet network. As a fully featured built in device server, the NET232+ sends serial data over the network. The NET232+ can transmit using Serial baud rates up to 921.6K.
Using included ComPort Redirector software the NET232+ can create a virtual COM Port on your computer allowing serial data from your connected device to be transmitted as though it were directly connected to your computer via a serial cable.
In addition the NET232+ can also be used in serial tunneling mode using two NET232+’s, which then use the network as a serial cable replacement. In this mode no software is required on the end devices.
