The GSR(galvanic skin response) in Grove GSR Sensor refers to the electrical reaction of the skin. When we are emotionally tense or show intense facial expressions and movements, the activity of the sympathetic nerve will increase, promoting an increase in sweat gland secretion, thereby leading to an increase in skin electricity. This sensor can measure the conductivity of your surface skin by attaching two electrodes to your two fingers that are close to each other to determine whether you have made intense facial expressions at that time. Some highly sensitive lie detectors have formally applied this scientific principle.
