Question 1

How is the case/stand for this thing? That sounds like a sketchy bit of designing. Are there any other stand options for this display? I would like to use this as my display for an Abelton Live stage rig. I need a monitor that takes up little space, and won't look out of place onstage. Not sure how well this stand will hold up on the road.

I use this as a second monitor for my laptop, and it works well for that purpose.  The case flap folds over to hold the monitor -- even in portrait mode -- on a flat desk or table with no problems and slides easily into the laptop bag.  As for alternative stands, this is VERY light and just about any stand for a large tablet would work.  However, for your use on stage I would think you wouldn't have the room behind it for the oem case/stand.  With the vibration onstange I would recommend using double-stick velcro and sticking it onto the side of something substantial.  Also keep in mind that this is a USB monitor and won't be as responsive to screen updates as a traditional monitor, and with Ableton Live you might find the screen updates to be a hair slower -- but still fast enough to set levels.  This monitor draws all of its power via USB as well, so if you are using this on a laptop it may or may not have enough power output - so if you have USB type C on your equipment I would recommend that model (as USB-C has more amperage and would definitely support it, as upposed to standard USB3 which "might").  You can get a traditional full HD flatscreen monitor for less than half the cost of this unit, so if you have the room to pack it you may consider that route because the stand will definitely be more stable.  Also, like any USB monitor you won't have any video output until the operating system is booted and drivers are loaded.  If the machine doesn't boot, you won't know why, so I wouldn't feel comfortable using it as a primary monitor in your application but would feel comfortable using it as the second monitor if you are running dual screens.

Hello, is this monitor compatable with a Mac Pro Tower?

I did not go to Asus site to see if they have a Mac driver. 
This is a USB device, so you have to have a USB port and I believe it has a software driver (my wife uses it on her SurfaceBook), I remember 3 of these are supported on the USB for a single computer.
Check with Asus on the driver, and Mac compatibility, as I remember they have a decent write up and you can always call their sales number, it should be on their website. It is pretty cool, very small works portrait or landscape. Very nice for a carry with you monitor.

I would like to purchase today, but is it the WLED/ TN or IPS (In-plane switching)? Also, is the Resolution: 1920 x 1080?

Has anyone tried using this with a ps4 or xbox one? Please no hypotheticals or "I wouldn't try it". Id like to hear from someone that's tried doing it. Thanks.

I know that this isn't the answer you want, but it is the answer you are going to get.  This monitor hooks up via USB using DisplayLink.  Neither the xbox nor the ps4 platforms contain displaylink drivers, nor have drivers been created for them.  As such, no USB attached displaylink monitor like this will work on those platforms.

Question 5

Can i use this as a main display?

I am building a mini gaming pc to bring to a friends house or such, and it will be going in a book bag, and a monitor such as this would be great, as it's not bulky like normal monitors, and isn't heavy or expensive if i were to try to use a laptop's monitor
(not that it matters , but this would also be in the book bag, but i have a case and such to protect this)

Yes, you COULD use it as a main display, though keep in mind that this is a USB attached monitor using DisplayLink, and you aren't going to get the framerate out of it that you would get with an HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI, or VGA connection.  It does NOT use the video card in your computer, so the best gaming video card isn't going to do you any good.  Personally, I wouldn't consider it for a gaming rig - but it is GREAT for the road warrior who wants a larger second screen on their laptop or tablet for working in the hotel room or for presentations.

Also, since it is USB, you won't get any video until the operating system is loaded.  If you have a POST error that keeps you from booting, you will not view it on this monitor.

Is this compatible with the Surface Book?

it is USB, it will work with any system that supports USB video devices, so yes, it should work with a surface book with no problem. just a note, USB video devices are operating system dependent, so if you are running windows, no problem. I am not sure about alternatives like linix or Chrome OS etc.

Can I use a USB to RCA cable on this? It'll be hooked up to a direct video feed.

No.  This monitor only uses DisplayLink drivers on a computer to drive it, also drawing its power over the same USB cable.

I've seen some USB to RCA cables can be used to plug into Smart TV's, but in that case the TV is also a computer, not a just a monitor.  A DisplayLink monitor such as this one doesn't have that kind of capability.

How well does this work for gaming?

I used this mainly on a W7 laptop for work and tried it on my W10 gaming computer with R290 video card.  The lap top has interrupt issues and requires the usb cable to be reinstalled to eliminate frame fill issues.  I can not play on my low resolution laptop with out this monitor.  The laptop refresh rate is as low as 10 fpm.  When I played with it on my gaming computer I had no issues at all No drops in fpm.

My laptop is W7 with 4G memory.  I blame the frame fill issue on a USB 1 hub I use for my kb, mouse and G13 game bad.  I plan on buying a usb 3 hub

Can two of these be linked or daisey chained together?

There is no USB hub built into the monitor so they cannot be daisy chained - but you can plug two of them into a USB 3 hub or use two USB 3 ports on your computer and drive multiple units that way.

Can this be driven with a Samsung s10e smartphone (android)?

Unsure but doubtful. It is powered by a powered USB3 port so unles the Samsung s10e provides power out that could be converted from USBC to USB I think the answer would be no.
