Pros: Good memory. I've owned a 4GB set for quite a while and it's running well.

Cons: Wanted to buy more, see below.

Overall Review: Bad newegg. This memory was on sale for $15 off through 6/1, during which it was "out of stock". As soon as the sale expired it was magically back in stock again. Not a good way to do business IMO.

Pros: Nice black anodized aluminum heat spreader

Cons: Doesn't make me coffee

Overall Review: memtest86+ reports no issues. Memory timings are wrong on the package, should be 5-5-5-12, not 5-5-5-15. Thanks Patriot for all the excellent products and customer service. Patriot customer for life!

Pros: Fast, great looking, no need to adjust voltage on non-gaming motherboard. Works well with similar patriot extreme ram I already had. Order to Door Step in 3 days.

Overall Review: I was running 4GB of Patriot Extreme Ram with the same specs and timings. I think the only difference between the 2 different style dimms is the heat spreader design. Upgrading to 8GB was as simple as popping the 2 new dimms in and starting the machine up. I was worried that on a more basic Intel Micro-ATX board I was going to have voltage issues. Everything works great!

Pros: Was cheap with the rebate, then having to RMA'ing it makes me not eligible for the rebate, so not such a good deal. Now that I've got my replacement my computer is finally stable and runs fine.

Cons: Bad Dimm of ram and had to RMA it so I will probably loose my rebate that made it worthwhile, so now it's not such a good deal. I thought Corsair had better quality control than that.

Overall Review: Beware of rebates as always, but at least the RMA system works, but makes the consumer pay for shipping so you end up paying more just to replace a defective product. I got a lemon and couldn't make lemonade... :/

Pros: Does what is should and works. The heat sinks attached to the mem stick actually do take the heat of the mem chips. No memory errors.

Cons: I ordered two kits, so four sticks of ram in two packages. One packaged worked just fine, while the other did not. To be fair the second package did have one stick that actually worked. So since half of the packages worked, the product gets a lower score.

Overall Review: New egg took the ram back and set another package, it of coarse worked. However this is the second out of three packages of ram I have bought from new egg that I had issues with. The first was an OCZ kit with advertised CAS latency that was not stable (crashed while in the bios, besides memtest issues.) This issue on the second set was DOA and the idea sits in my mind that new egg is a little risky on ram purchases. Out of the 6 sticks of ram I bought in the last 3 months, 50 percent have not worked as advertised. I guess I would not be unhappy if I did not have to pay to ship it back. :)

Pros: Nice looking heatsinks

Cons: Went belly up after stress test....big time. Coincidence? Just a bad batch? Dunno.

Overall Review: Not sure what's up with these modules, hopefully just a bad set I got. I returned these and ordered a new same set so we'll see once I get those if there is an issue with this brand. Never used the Patriot brand before.

Pros: Great ram for the money. Gets the job done on just about any application. Ram heatsinks have a great design that keep them surprisingly cool. Cheap enough for budget systems. Good enough for intensive tasks.

Cons: Ram heatsinks stick out vertically a bit. Users of overly large cpu heatsinks should take note of this.

Pros: - Nice heatsinks - Easy to install (all RAM is) - Accepts overclocking easily

Cons: - High DOA (dead on arrival) Rate. Originally 25% (3/4 good), now 50% (1/2 good) fail and would not allow to boot into BIOS or Windows. - Patriot says they test each module, but I find that hard to believe with the amount of failures reported on their RAM. I originally bought 4 sticks of Patriot RAM (2GBx4=8GB). 3 out of 4 worked. 1 stick would not allow me to boot. I singled out the bad stick and paired it with another stick and I could not boot. I could boot to Windows with 6 GB (Win7 64 bit). I am now waiting on my third shipment of their RAM. Newegg is obviously not able to test the RAM before it is shipped to me. I hope this last shipment has 2 good sticks in it. Because if it doesn't...

Overall Review: I would honestly buy RAM from somewhere local...such as Micro Center, Best Buy, or other computer hardware retailers. If you get a bad stick you have the option of just going back to the store and remedying the problem the same day. Returns take time and I had to pay for shipping back to Newegg. Although, Newegg covered the shipping back to me.
