Pros: Value price point (with rebate), second kit passed memtest

Cons: First kit purchased had a dead module that wouldn't allow my notebook to POST if it was in either socket.

Overall Review: DOA happens with PC components, so I dinged them an egg and moved on. The replacement set passed memtest with flying colors and has worked perfectly since then. I have had perfect success with Patriot components up until this, so it wouldn't stop me from buying their products in the future.

Pros: Memory works as advertised in three Lenovo laptops (T400, T410, T500). Nice to have 8GB of memory in each machine. Patriot Customer Service and RMA departments worked quickly to resolve issues with original shipment.

Cons: Ordered 3 sets of memory (for 3 machines), on the November 19 sale. Unfortunately, Newegg shipped the memory modules in a padded envelope instead of a box. Turns out that all 3 sets had one functional and one defective SO-DIMM, indicating that the memory was damaged in shipment - that a padded envelope is not enough protection for the memory. Patriot customer service stepped up and replaced the modules without question. They shipped the replacements in a box, and it is these replacements that are receiving the 5-star review. In fairness, this is the first time I've had an issue with the means Newegg used for shipping.

Overall Review: I would only order the memory if also ordering other products so that there would be higher odds of Newegg shipping it in a box.

Pros: Easy installation, started up and recognized the 8GB. Much better than the 2 GB in the laptop I had.

Pros: My laptop came with only 4 gigs. Upgraded to 8, i've seen some good performance increase. Arrived on time and none were dead!

Cons: Weren't free

Pros: Both sticks were good. Booted right up, windows recognized 8gigs right away. I have an Asus G60JX with 1st gen i5 in it. I read that it only supported 4gigs, but other places said otherwise so I gave it a shot and it shows 8. $10 rebate is nice. Even before rebate it was $35, which is cheap.

Pros: I purchased this memory to upgrade to max memory on a Toshiba Satellite 755 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834214506 and it worked great. Ran a memory test and had zero issues and it has been running flawlessly ever since ( about a month ).

Cons: NONE

Pros: Worked out of the box on a Lenovo T410.

Cons: With all the reliability issues posted in this thread, I hope this 8GB works long enough.

Overall Review: Chipset is Spektek (Micron).

Pros: Works at advertised speed and timing with no errors.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: It's RAM; not much to say. Stores my 1s and 0s without complaint.
