With all the processors, cards, fans, add-ons being added to systems today, it's getting harder to find the power you need without overheating! Your relief has arrived! Here's PC power, extreme cooling and reliability, with 910W of maximum power!
It features a powerful single 12V rail rated at 74A continuous. The ultra-quiet cooling design leaves the inlet wide open, so 90% less noise is generated per watt with an impressive 88% typical efficiency (80PLUS SILVER Certified). The active PFC (.99) neatly handles input sags and surges and eliminates the need for an 110V to 220V input switch. Automatic fan speed control minimizes noise without sacrificing proper cooling.
This power supply has a 24-pin main connector, a 4-pin 12V connector, an 8-pin 12V CPU connector, 7 peripheral connectors, 12 SATA connectors, a floppy connector, and four PCI-E connectors, two 6-pin to 8-pin PCI-E connectors. The Silencer 910 is NVIDIA SLI certified. This economical, ultra-quiet power supply is backed by a 7-Year warranty and support.
ATX12V and EPS12V Compatible Compatible with the ATX12V and EPS12V standards, the PC Power & Cooling Silencer PPCS910 provides maximum power stability to drive the latest Intel and AMD processors as well as other components for desktop and server computer systems.
910W Continuous Power A maximum power of 910W delivers safe, reliable output for high-end gaming computer systems.
80 PLUS SILVER Certified The 80 PLUS SILVER certified power supply provides high power efficiency of at least 85% at any load between 20% and 100%, saving your money on your electrical bill, reducing heat in your computer's system and prolonging its life.
NVIDIA SLI Certified The PC Power & Cooling Silencer PPCS910 power supply has gone through a series of rigorous NVIDIA SLI certification tests for maximum system stability when building NVIDIA SLI PCs.
Ultra-Quiet Cooling Design The ultra-quiet PC Power & Cooling Silencer PPCS910 power supply features a noise suppression air gap at the inlet side of the fan for significantly reduced noise.
Pros: 24-pin, dual 8-pin, and 4/8-pin, dual 2+6, dual 6, strings of sata & molex. SLI convienient tri-sli doable if necessary. People who insist on modular just need to buy a bigger case. I'm an old school electrical engineer. Literally. Modular just introduces points of failure and shorts. 80mm in line fans run cooler because there is now room for more iron with fewer windings to achieve the same output. Larger fans take away from the iron content there is space for. Not intuitive but the smaller fans will run less on a really high quality power supply than a larger fan.
Cons: Hard wired is not a con! It just makes sense. Even more sense for cheap power supplies! PC Power & Cooling is not a cheap or more accurately low quality power supply.
Overall Review: This pc power & cooling is only 5yr not 7yr but it's also inexpensive. Not cheap. Its hard to pull 800watts even with tri-sli. At this price/pf point, there isn't any question. This will grasp a large chunk of the market.
Pros: Just a quick summary. Unit has been reliable for 3.5 years, and still going strong. This unit has a 7yr warranty from date of purchase.
Cons: Only con would be the long cables, but knew this when it was purchased.
Overall Review: Gave this to my son in February of 2012, when I went for the 950w model just to upgrade. That is still running, see my thoughts on that one.
Pros:
Everything. Some power supplies may do some specific things slightly better but no other power supply comes close to doing everything as well as this one. I've been running this supply across two SLI builds over two years. Currently attached to 5 7200RPM drives and a overclocked AMD 1100T on a completely full M4N98TD motherboard and never breaks a sweat.
One huge rail of clean, nearly limitless power. No wimpy multirail buffoonery here.
Cons:
It's discontinued.
Capacitors don't last forever, which means I'll probably either have to fix this myself someday far into the future or replace it with some inferior unit.
Overall Review: There is plenty of test data available across various websites that can attest to the quality of this power supply, no one needs to take my word for it. I'm just here to give it one more belated 5 egg rating. Because it deserves it.
Pros: Dual CPU 8pins: the main reason I went for this PSU. I have 5 PCPnC power supplies and they are all excellent and this is no exception. Very stable output in all conditions. I would also tip my hat to OCZ for their support of these PSUs. In a fluke my fan cable come unplugged somehow on a 750W. OCZ had an RMA number for me in a day and had my PSU back to me in a week. The supply ran flawlessly without any cooling for who knows how long; a true testament.
Cons: This power-supply is longer than average. If you have length constraints you will want to look at a standard form factor PSU.
Overall Review: If you have the space go for a Silencer. They last forever and are some of the best regulated power sources available.
Pros: Voltage values are good and steady.
Cons: Wires are very big and bulky. I'm making sure to get a modular Power Supply next time.
Pros: None.
Cons: Monstrous amount of wires. Dead on arrival and newegg charges return shipping. Complete waste.
Pros: Quiet - strong - running i7 with a crossfire pro video card. No problems.
Cons: none come 2 mind

Pros: Has lasted for over 10 years
Plenty of power
Cons: Not modular although some might say it makes it more reliable.
Overall Review: I bought this from Newegg back in April 2009 and it is still going strong in January 2020. This computer system has a INTEL Core i7-920 CPU, EVGA E758-A1 3-Way SLI (x16/x16/x8) LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard, a nVidia Geforce GTX-275 and various hard drives has been running almost 24/7/365 for over 10 years now.
