Can I use this with my macbook pro?

Any device that has bluetooth will work with the JIVE. Bluetooth is platform independent similar to USB.

I have used the same JIVE with an Android phone, iPhone, Linux (Ubuntu) laptop, and Windows 7 desktop all of which had bluetooth.

Are connectors included in this deal?

The only cable I recall seeing in the box was a USB cable for charging the speaker.  We plug it into one of our phone chargers since it fits and charge it once in a while.

There is a small rubber door you have to open to power the device and where the USB port is hidden.  I don't recall any other connectors.

The speaker is meant to be used with bluetooth enabled devices so no connection is really needed.

Question 3

Can this be hooked up to my desktop PC?  I don't have any speakers yet.  Don't want a bunch of wires either.

I assumption would be yes. You ca research other people connecting bluetooth speaker devices on their desktop and laptop machines. Of course, the requirement would be either built in bluetooth or a bluetooth dongle.

I don't have a bluetooth computer or dongle to test, however.

Does this use a micro usb piece?

Yes, however, I have found that some of my phone charging cables will not charge it. Some because the silicone gets in the way. (FAT connector)

I am not quite sure what your asking, but I will try to provide some information that might help.  Bluetooth is a short range wireless protocol used to allow devices to communicate.  This bluetooth speaker can be "paired" with bluetooth-enabled devices such as smartphones, tablets, and PCs.  Pairing is done once to allow the speaker and device to communicate.  Once paired the speaker and devices should connect automatically when both are powered on and within range, usually 10 meters/33 feet.  Once connected, audio played on the phone, tablet, etc., is played through the speaker.  Since this one is waterproof, you can listen to music or audiobooks while in the shower with your phone safe on the bathroom counter.  Theoretically, you should be able to use this speaker with any device that has bluetooth (almost all mobile phones, most tablets, and many PCs.  If your PC does not have bluetooth built in, you can purchase a USB bluetooth adapter very inexpensively.

Forgive me if this has been too simplistic.  I inferred from your question that you may not be very familiar with the workings of bluetooth.

My android phone requires a password or PIN to link up with the device.  The instructions don't mention this.  Does anyone know the password or PIN?

I have order but not yet received one of these little speakers.  Another website states the weight as 4.8 oz.  Based on a photo that includes a usb cable (for charging) I would estimate the size at about 2-2.5 inches in diameter by about 3 inches tall.  This is not a large speaker.  It is not going to pump out bone-rattling base, but it will allow you to listen to your music or audio book while taking a shower.
