why are my white leds showing a musty yellow?

You have to check your controller. These halos achieve white led without problem. Check the program which you are trying to set the determine color. I have plantek controller and it makes color more vibrant than gigabyte controller. In other hand gigabyte controller makes more effects and it easy to customize them.

Question 2

These are listed as Addressable RGB yet they are only 3 pin not 4. Are they truly individually addressable LEDs? I'm guessing maybe only 3pin because no actual fan just a halo. Is this correct?

It is long ago,so I may not be accurate 4 pins connector one is for 12v electric, 3 pins for RGB from left to right, 3 pin connector mother boards are old( i think 6 volts) only RGB boards have built in voltage, Phanteks have expensive connector to old to new, but never bought or used it. So my opinion may not be use full,
