Reviewer William M. says that he can add 6 of these brackets.
My question is why to do this if there are only 4 SATA ports so you will be able to connect ONLY 4 disk drives making the additional 2 brackets unnecessary?

The number of SATA ports will vary by your motherboard, or if you have any after market PCIe sata cards. "Number of SATA ports" is definitely not a limiting factor... However on my Pro M  I only count 5 places for these. (And a glance at the Evolv ATX seems to give the same result).

Can these be put into the Elite?  It looks like they will, but I don't want to order them to find out it doesn't.

According to the manual for the ENTHOO ELITE PH-ES916E, the PH-HDDKT_02 will work to add a 3.5" HDD.

Reference page 38 of manual for the PH-ES916E.  Newegg won't let me put in a direct link to the manual.  You can find it at the Phanteks website.

BTW, I use them on my Enthoo Evolv Pro M case and they work great.  The open design of these cases are wonderful.

Do these Modular HDD Brackets work for 2.5" SSD's as well?

No.  This is for 3.5" HDD's.  There are different brackets to mount 2.5" drives.
