is there a white option?

There is. But it has a blue tint like led lights do. While looking at the string you can see red blue and green leds lit to make white. So its not a true white led.

Can these strip do all of the lighting modes with Aura? Like the ones with Corsair. Especially rainbow waves.

It's a standard RGB LED strip. Assuming you can connect the cable to your Aura-capable motherboard, you should be able to do some effects with the RGB software.

Corsair packages an in-house RGB control board with some of their cases and fans. They also offer the Lighting Node Pro, which is an RGB/LED controller.

Does this only work with Phantek cases?

Technically it can work in any case that has the same end connection. It has what looks like a typical 4 pin fan connection, but  I've never tried connecting it to anything but the designated case port.

can they be cut to size?

not that I know of, but you can work on wrapping them around the area you plan to attach them too. Hope that helps

if I use an extender can I plug this into my MSI motherboard and use the mystic light?

the connector is different on the motherboard but you can buy the phantek light control instead and use it that way. plus it will allow you to use as many colors as you want instead of just one if you where able to plug into motherboard. I hope I answer you questions right.

It maybe a dumb question but does it have orange?

Yes, there is orange but it looks a little weird more on the yellow side. I cant seem to get a gigabyte orange if thats what your looking for.

I bought this lighting strip to go inside of my Phanteks Eclipse P400 case. I am having a very tough time installing it properly though. The wiring does not seem long enough to reach a proper installation point when the RGB LED strip is connected to the wire inside of the case that is labeled for use with the lighting strip. Is there an additional connector of sorts that I need?

Take the front panel off of the computer and try to unhook the wire from the case and get the wire to reach towards the front side of the case. I am assuming you are trying to connect it along the top of the case so just try to get the built in wire of the case to stretch towards the front side. It is tricky. Main point is just unhook the wire from the built in wire hooks under the front panel.

This connects to the onboard LED controller found on the Phanteks cases.

The combo set seems to come with an adapter that can work on universal connections that follow the header pins  (12V, G, R, B)
