The Norelco 1260x/40 from Newegg was brand new. The shaver arrived in a factory sealed box with contents as described. It is a great shaver and a wise purchase. Hope this helps.

what kind of head do i need?

It comes with the correct head. Have used it for about a year and could not be happier with a shaver

Hi, Is this razor especially made for the egg or something? When I tried to find it on their site, there isn't a 1260x40 only 1250x40, 1250x42, 1280x40, and a 1290x42 in the "8000" series and especially there aren't any all silver ones in that category on their site as well. Inquiring minds need to know... :) I doubt if that means less quality though asi have found these razors to always be the highest of quality or so far so good.

Norelco introduced the 1260/40 in 2010. It is still listed on Norelco's support website. FYI - Uses the same head replacement as the rest, so how different can it be? I've had the one I purchased from the Egg since 11/2013 and it works very well.
