Philips Sonicare 4100 Power Toothbrush, Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush with Pressure Sensor, Black (HX3681/24)

The Philips Sonicare 4100 HX3681/24 is a rechargeable electric toothbrush with a pressure sensor, two intensity settings, and timed brushing guidance, suited to people who want a straightforward daily clean with reminders to ease pressure and brush each area.

Recommended For

• Manual-to-electric toothbrush switchers who want a straightforward daily sonic routine, with a two-minute timer and cues to move between mouth sections.
• People who tend to brush too hard and want pressure feedback, plus a lower-intensity setting to choose when their teeth or gums feel tender.
• Travelers or people who dislike frequent charging and can pack their own case: Philips lists up to 14 days of battery life, but the reviewed package does not include a travel case.
• People who prefer a simple brush with one everyday cleaning mode and two intensity levels rather than choosing among several specialized modes.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• For a twice-daily brushing routine, the timer cues users to move around the mouth and signals when the two-minute session is over, helping them keep brushing time consistent.
• For someone who tends to press hard while brushing, the handle’s changed vibration provides a cue to ease up; it may take attention to notice because the pressure alert is not a prominent visible light.
• For users who find the usual brushing sensation uncomfortable, the lower of the two intensity settings offers a gentler-feeling option for everyday brushing.
• For a short trip, a full charge can reduce the need to pack a charger; Philips specifies up to 14 days of use based on two two-minute brushings per day.
• For someone switching from a manual brush who wants a straightforward routine, the single-button operation and built-in pacing provide basic guidance without requiring an app or multiple mode choices.
