No you want to get the 9005 then it will be compatible with LTE my fastest speed with my 9000 is HSPA+ which is still really fast. I don’t have any complaints.

If it's unlocked it will work in any country carriers which use GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz. Check Indian carriers web sites if they support those frequencies.
