Question 1

I just picked up 4 floor speakers, each with 1 tweeter, 2 6" mids, and a 10"sub.  (do not know any ratings, yard sale).  They work great, but when I pulled out my old Kenwood receiver/amp to set it all up, I realized it got crushed in Sandy reconstruction.  So now I need something to replace it.  Would this model work well even though each has it's own sub and I will not be using a center speaker?

I have mine hooked up to 4 outdoor speakers. It took a bit of messing with the settings but the sound great now.
The 4 speakers are all hooked to different channels the 2 fronts and 2 of the surround channels. The setting allow you to get equal volumes out of each speaker as if it were a non surround system.  Hope this helps.

Does this device have the "MCACC Automation Room Calibration" listed or is that a misprint? I know the next model up does have it??

Yes it does have this and I can confirm it does as well. If you would like to check documentation go to pioneer electronics website and you will find this model where you can download or view the manual using a .pdf reader.  On page 18 is where you will find the MCAAC setup instructions.

All in all for the price Newegg has this it is a pretty good receiver with Pioneers quality brand behind it.  I installed this at a friends house with some Boston Acoustics speakers and the quality surpases the price.

Is the iPhone hookup compatible with the iPhone 5?

Yes, as long as the end that goes into the Pioneer units input is a USB type, it will work just fine.

Is there a phonograph input?

If I understand correctly what you mean by phonograph I would say no. All analog audio inputs ans outputs are high impedance line in/out. Your phonograph (turntable head) will have to have pre-amp. Same for any microphone you would want to plug in this receiver.

what cable i need for 5.1 speaker ?

Just regular speaker wire is all you need. It has 2 leads on each end of the wire, which you have to strip back to be able to insert a positive and negative into the speaker, and the respective positive and negative into the receiver box.

Does it have bluetooth?

Unfortunately, this particular one does not.  It has a connection on the front to allow connectivity with an iPhone/iPod but I never use it.  That's sort of outdated.  This mixer works great for my Apple TV, Google Chromecast, XBox, and Wii and those peripherals have bluetooth or other wireless technology.  I use those to do my streaming, so I don't miss that on the receiver.

can i watch youtube using air play?

It depends, you used to be able to airplay youtube videos via the YouTube app, but recently they updated the YouTube app, but you can still do it from safari, but in short, yes it's possible.

Does this system support only 2 Speakers stereo mode?
ALso, 3D support means that it will allow 3Dmovies and tv channels to work? For instance If I connect a 3D bluray player through the receiver to a 3D tv it would work?

U can enable (menu) up to 5 speakers and a sub-woofer for 'surround sound', hence the 5 and 1. u can also choose to only use 2 speakers in stereo mode. A good choice is only enabling the center channel speaker (u'll need one) and the two front (u can use any 3 way cabinet speaker even). 3 D, yes. It would probably be best to get a little support, help in order to get the most out of your receiver.

Yes, it has the MCACC feature. The manual has instructions on how to use it with the included calibration microphone.
