Does this amp power a second zone of speakers?  Back panel has speaker outputs labelled A, but I don't see a B set of speaker outputs

sorry wrong answer there is a front a, b, a/b switch so will power both outputs at the same time

Question 3

One reviewer says no subwoofer control, another says excellent subwoofer control.  Which is it?

Back panel has sub pre-out jack - does this mean all amplification needs to be done by a POWERED subwoofer?

Yes, you need a powered subwoofer. I run a Pioneer SW-8MK2 and it seems plenty big enough.

All of the other channels are powered from the unit.

I personally don't like the subwoofer over heating my receiver and it gives me the option to update to a bigger one later on if I want to.

Can you control the Vtuner without using the remote and only front panel controls?

this is stereo only so no front rear center ,only bass and treble adjustments
