Pioneer VSX-830-K 5.2 Channel AV Receiver with Built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi

Offering a host of new features, the VSX-830-K is one of the most versatile AV receivers, letting you stream your favorite content and control it all from the palm of your hand. For 2015, we've added many advanced new features, including High-Definition Copy Protection (HDCP 2.2), built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a seven-Language icon-based Graphical User Interface (GUI), an Apple® iOS®/Android™ Wi-Fi Setup App, and much more.

The VSX-830-K gives you two ways to enjoy your music wirelessly from your iPhone®, BlackBerry®, Android, PC, laptop or any other compatible sources. All 2015 models offer built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology. Plus, the VSX-830-K is equipped with dual antennas providing Dual Band Wi-Fi (2.4GHZ and 5.8GHZ) for a much greater network range and throughput.

Connecting the VSX-830-K to your home Wi-Fi network is easy with a new Apple iOS and Android App. Simply download the app to your compatible smartphone and walk through the simple connection process. The app transfers all your Wi-Fi settings from the smartphone to the AV receiver.

All new 2015 Pioneer AV Receivers support full bandwidth HDMI and feature HDCP 2.2 HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Copy Protection) technology ensures your receiver's compatibility with the many upcoming 4K UltraHD sources and televisions. So when you decide to upgrade your visual experience, your audio experience will already be there.

In addition to playback of most high-resolution formats, such as FLAC, WAV, AIFF, and Apple Lossless, the VSX-830-K enables playback of DSD files from a networked DLNA® computer or connected USB drive.

The VSX-830-K features AVNavigator, a built-in system that simplifies the setup process. Unlike other systems that required an app download or the installation of a CD-ROM, AVNavigator helps you easily connect the VSX-830-K to your network and launch your favorite web browser on virtually any device. The AVNavigator will walk you through the connection and setup of your new receiver. You can even explore new features of your AV Receiver using the Interactive Contents section. Just push a button on the virtual remote control and AVNavigator will activate the feature and explain what it does.

The Start-up Navi App is special app to help you easily set up the AV receiver via Wi-Fi with your smartphone. After opening the package, scan the QR code on the Quick Start Guide with your iPod touch/iPhone/iPad or Android device connected to your home network, and download the Start-up Navi app. As you proceed with the wizard, the network set-up for your AV receiver will be completed smoothly. Then, in coordination with the AVNavigator, the app lets you do all the initial settings of the AV receiver.

The VSX-830-K features an updated icon-based Graphical User Interface (GUI) that makes setup, navigating Internet radio and iPod or iPhone contents more intuitive and universal. Not only are the words on navigation screens accompanied by icons, they can also be set in any of seven different languages.

To help make the setup process easier, we've improved the design of the rear panel on all 2015 receiver models. The layout is simpler, the spacing is better, the text is easier to read, and the speaker connections are more clearly labeled.

Along with the addition of independent dual subwoofer output, the VSX-830-K offers a built-in 4-band Subwoofer Equalizer. The Subwoofer EQ determines the location and characteristics of the subwoofer and makes adjustments using four different frequency parameters and an extremely low-latency DSP to reduce phase and timing errors that are often experienced with lesser room calibration systems.

The VSX-830-K gives you instant access to your favorite content and allows you to control it with your smartphone or tablet. As a networked receiver, it supports Apple’s AirPlay wireless music streaming technology, allowing you to enjoy your favorite music with your iPhone, iPod® or iTunes® anywhere in the house.

Additionally, the VSX-830-K supports HTC Connect™, the only unified approach for streaming music wirelessly from select compatible Android smartphones. HTC Connect is built right into your phone’s music player, making it easy to wirelessly stream your favorite music to your receiver — no separate app required.

The VSX-830-K also supports DLNA 1.5 media streaming, which lets you access your favorite music from a DLNA server or computer connected to the same home network. Not only are compressed music files, such as MP3, WMA, and AAC supported, but also high-resolution files, such as FLAC, WAV, AIFF, DSD, and Apple Lossless.

With the power of Internet Radio, the VSX-830-K gives you nearly unlimited listening options. Enjoy thousands of Internet radio stations around the world with vTuner and access all your favorite tunes from Pandora and Spotify Connect — complete with on-screen album art and music information. Spotify Connect is a premium subscription feature that lets you play and control Spotify with your compatible smart devices.
