Pros: First, the prime reason that I selected this receiver over the similarly priced competition was because of the simplicity of the setup as I read about in reviews. The setup was just as simple as reviewed! I wanted to wait for awhile before posting a review because I wanted to evaluate the receiver's sound and reliability, I give both an "A." I connected this receiver to a pair of Polk Audio T50 tower speakers, a LG sound bar and sub woofer (300 watts) . The highs are crisp and the bass is rich. In my medium sized room, I an only use about 25% of the power before the windows began to shake. Only a true audio junkie would have any complaints about sound quality. Linking the receiver to my TV and using the WiFi and Bluetooth feature are a breeze. I have not yet used to second room speaker but the prompt to make a second room speaker connection is easy to access. I may have a slight preference for SOME types of music on a competitive Onkyo, however I would buy this unit at every opportunity. I haven't had any reliability issues.

Overall Review: I've never had a receiver before but the house we bought has surround sound inside as well as outdoor speakers on the deck. This receiver allows me to watch tv/play music inside while playing something else outside at the same time which is pretty cool. That was mainly what I was looking for as I know next to nothing about this kind of stuff and I was able to set it up following the instructions in the manual.

Pros: Atmos is amazing and sounds great

Cons: still not sure if this product will be an acceptable replacement for my Denon AVR 1802 for rocking out, though. At first it sounded horrible for music, but as we tweaked with settings it got better but I think the warmed up amps made the biggest difference. Maybe it will get better with more adjustment.

Overall Review: Wouldn't recommend this for high volume music purist (yet) but the home theater atmos is great. Sad that this was a new egg select product, won't put as much trust in new egg select as before.

Cons: - I didn't read the fine print when I bought this. It states that it has Chromecast built-in, but if you think that means (like I did) the video portion of Chromecast, you'd be wrong. Just know that the Chromecast built-in is for MUSIC ONLY, and will not cast your movies, tv shows, etc. It would have been sweet if it cast video. I'm very disappointed about that.
- Only powerful enough for a small home theatre, which is not really a con, because that's what it's meant for.

Overall Review: Honestly, I highly recommend this receiver. I cannot say enough how good this sounds. I'm coming from a Sony 5.1 receiver, and the difference in sound is night and day. I had no idea what I was missing until I installed this. I have it set up as a 5.1 surround for now, with an additional sub & two additional speakers on their way for a 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos setup. I can't wait!

Pros: Nice package, good audio and video. Nice price. BUT..... If you want to use two speaker systems with digital source, you're out of luck.

Cons: One of the main reasons I chose this unit was to be able to play another set of speakers - Zone 2. After returning the first one and finding the replacement unit wouldn't play Zone 2 I called customer support. Their response: Zone 2 will ONLY work with an analog input, NO HDMI. So no cable, satellite, Roku, etc. NO DEAL!

Cons: It gets somewhat finicky with all HDMI CEC enabled with my Samsung tv and Apple Tv connected to this. Updates could fix auto turn on issues, otherwise Dolby pass through from my Apple TV 4k through this to my QLED works well. Atmos passes through. Good sound for small to medium rooms but with a large room you may want more power

Overall Review: I would recommend this to anyone wanting to upgrade from their existing 5.1 or to new folks who want Atmos for their smallish room. Speaker load settings only offer 4 or 6 ohm load, so match your speakers up well when buying. You have plenty of options in the settings to choose where your ceiling or rear height speakers are in setup and it has an included mic to calibrate the system

Pros: • AirPlay2 (with firmware update, which was very easy to update through the UI)

• ARC Support (I was able to get this working with my 2018 Samsung NU8000)
• Auto MCACC

Cons: I have had this for 2 weeks and haven't found any drawbacks so far. I'm not sure why someone said the audio quality was poor. Perhaps their configuration is incorrect. The receiver allows you to set either 4Ω or 6Ω speaker impedance.

Overall Review: I would recommend this to someone looking to try out Dolby Atmos at an affordable price. I upgraded from a Pioneer VSX-1020 and I really enjoy the advancements that have been made to the UI and all the new features. Great Sale price of $279
