Can you use a sub with this?

Hello,

Unfortunately this only has channels for the left and right speakers.  Please refer to the amp I linked in this response and view the picture that shows the back, there is a dedicated Sub Woofer output on this unit that the X-EM26 system is missing

But with an amp/receiver like the one I linked you would need a powered Subwoofer like the one I linked and you would also need powered speakers that use RCA (red and white) connections like the ones I linked.  Hope this helps!

I’m thinking this may great for my guest room. Can you use this as an alarm clock?

Not that I know of, no.  I bought it for the bluetooth - this system is a cheap and convenient way to listen to my entire digital music collection in another room.
