Are these discs really able to hold 25 GB worth of data?

No 25 GB disc is able to hold what they advertise their capacity to. The actual capacity that is usable on all 25GB discs is around 23.4 GB. These are better discs than the TY's you'll see that have water shield technology so I would advise you to buy them. With a good inkjet printer the discs look better that professionally stamped discs. Als although they are a water shield disc that doesn't mean you can soak them and not have issues if your not careful but they do hold up to getting wet if it is short and you handle them well. I love these disc even though TY's have been my goto.

Features	Liquid Defense Plus is a special water and scratch resistant inkjet printable coating applied to a whole range of recordable CD's, DVD's and Blu-ray discs.
