The PNY GeForce GTX 660 XLR8 not only extends the NVIDIA Kepler-powered family of graphics cards to new levels of affordability but also retains class-leading performance and power efficiency. It's the weapon of choice for gamers and a must-have upgrade for today's hottest games. The PNY GeForce GTX 660 XLR8 graphics card represents the Kepler "sweet spot" for gamers—the ultimate combination of performance, power efficiency, and affordability.
Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
TXAA AntiAliasing Antialiasing helps to smooth out jagged lines in games. Existing techniques like MSAA are effective at removing jagged lines in still images but struggle with crawling and shimmering artifacts when the player is in motion. TXAA is a new antialiasing mode that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for the highest edge quality and minimal shimmering during gameplay.
NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to 2x monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs from 3DVisionLive.com in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.
Pros: Very good card in its price point
Cons: Runs a little hot
Pros: Great card. No problems what so ever with it.
Cons: I did get a 970 once I could about 2 years after. I think the 660 is great if you're not playing anything considered graphically intensive and relatively new. This card is more than adequate for any MOBA, mmo, etc. But for your heavily modded Skyrim or Starcitizen you might need an upgrade.
Pros:
Quality card. Only a few times did I get graphical issues with games on max settings like Dark Souls 2. Only lasted a few seconds in a few areas. As long as I'm not running Ultra on any game, no crashes. Has no problem running 7th gen games on max.
I closed my vent in the winter, and the card does a good job heating my room.
Cons: This thing is a space heater, we're talking 80 degrees on decent load. The fan makes a semi loud noise when ultra settings.
Pros: Until 9 months in this card was great. It ran most of the 2013/14 games at the highest settings and didn't skip a beat. The card was reasonably priced when I got it on sale, thanks newegg. I also didn't have to upgrade my power supply, a Roswell 80 plus, to use it.
Cons: Almost exactly 9 months in and it seems like the card is starting to malfunction. I was playing Endless Legends and started to have some Digital Artifacting, lots of small, tightly packed, green a blue bars followed by the BSD. Restarted and had the same problem about 10 mins in. I think it may be the beginning of the end.
Other Thoughts:
This problem did just occur and there is still hope that it is something else, I haven't had a chance to troubleshoot fully yet. I will update and adjust the 3 star rating up or down depending on the failure being the card and not a program issue.
The card was never over clocked. It also got fairly steady and daily use.
Pros: Works amazing for what it works for, especially if your card actually works with all games
Cons: Mine doesn't work for any high-end game. I've stood up with it for almost two years now, trying everything in the book to fix it, and it won't work. Even got a friend's PC that can hold up with some pretty intense cards, with a huge power supply and nice motherboard and all that, and it crashed in his too. Defective card. I can't play any games I want to anymore. Far Cry 3, FC 3: Blood Dragon, Bioshock Infinite, Dishonored, Batman Arkham series, Xcom, Sniper Elite Zombie Army, and pretty much any game with Unreal Engine
Other Thoughts: Just basing my review off of my specific card. When you get one that works, it's amazing. Mine, however, was new, and only half-works
Pros: It was great when it worked.
Cons: It didn't work the first time around, not from day one. The second time around, it worked for 5 months. Now cannot be repaired (per tech shop) and will not work.
Other Thoughts: So expensive for me, this was a disappointment.
Pros:
it runs games very well I can play all the new games at high-ultra.
Runs pretty cool.
Came with watch dogs and a $30 rebate
Cons: Very long, much longer than normal I would say. It even covered up my sata ports and I had to switch out two of them for 90 degree angled cables. Overall it's ok, just letting you know it's a very long video card because the fan in on the end rather than on top.

Pros: -Lasted 4.5 years still able to push ultra in games with gradual overclocking to help it along.
-Ran great in 2-Way SLI
Cons: -Reference cooler design, not ideal for peak performance.
-Near the end of it's time with me it was having problems keeping the fan running and eventually couldn't hold up against a simple moba like LoL.
Other Thoughts: -If newer cards weren't out that kicked this thing in the face I would easily recommend it again, I've yet to see a card live for as long and do as much as it did.
