I am new to updating computers but I have a Toshiba Protege r705-p35 and would like a better graphics card. Do you know if this or any other cards are compatible?

These cards are for desktop computers.  If were planning on using an external monitor or multiple monitors I would recommend a docking station or a USB type of video card.  This route is only for external monitors and will not improve your laptop monitor.  Laptops are proprietary in which the video card is usually integrated into the motherboard.   The only things I have upgraded in laptops were memory and hard drives.

Question 2

Will this fit into my Dell Studio Slimline box?  And can someone confirm that it's compatible with Windows 7x64 Home Premium O.S.?

Yes, this card has a low profile option so it could fit inside your slimline case. However, you will loose the VGA output once you put the low-profile adapter on, so hopefully this will not be a problem. As for your other question; yes this will work on any Windows 7 OS 32 & 64 bit.

Question 3

Will this card work with a Emachine T3604? The vid card isn't working, and need a replacement.

In order to answer this question you need to find out what PCIe slots are available on the machine's motherboard. This video card has a PCI Express 2.0 x16 interface, which is an older generation of PCI Express. I believe it is compatible with newer generation slots, but don't quote me on that.

Also, you need to figure out if the power supply on your computer is strong enough to meet whatever extra power requirements that this card adds.

Oh and one last thing, I'd check to make sure that its driver software is compatible with whatever operating system that you are using.

Question 4

I see a fan in the picture but spec calls it a fanless. What am I missing?

My guess would be slightly mislabeled. I have this product. It does well for a HTPC. Fan is silent, will not play newer games, ie crisis, cod, and the like. but just might play a web browser game.  does great for playing movies, I have mine connected to a 60" DLP 3D tv, and it plays my 3D content with no problems.  hope this answers any Q's one could have for this product.

will this work with a pc that has a 300 watt power supply? does not mention the recommended power supply in the item description.

Yes. According to PNY's website, the recommended Minimum System Requirement is "A minimum 300W or greater system power supply (with a minimum 12V current rating of 18A)"

Anyway, this is the 210 series card, and that's where I got the specs on the PNY web site, so you should be fine. :-)

Will this work with a 250w power supply?

It depends on what all else you have plugged in. I've bought several of these to run on Dell Optiplex 7010s with a single HDD and standard setup (this is the only expansion card installed) without issue.

If you have multiple hard drives, or multiple expansion cards already, your PSU may already be close to its max.

Does this card support 3 monitors, of various resolutions, in extended mode?

It will display to a monitor / had TV from all three out put ports if it is vga / DVI inputs also if your monitor has HDMI input / monitor /HDMI set you can send video and sound to the monitor set/HE set if it supports it . You can do extended desk top also with it only 2 monitors at a time or only one screen on HIM input with sound and video.

I have a dell Optiplex gx280 tower.
I would like to know if my computer is compatible with this card.
The space for cards on the back of my computer is 4-inches. I'm trying to obtain a hdmi port to be able to connect my computer to my hdtv?

Hello, the short answer is yes.   it should work, meaning it will plug in and should power on, and work.   The issue will be longevity and stress. the system is old and the power supply may not take the stress for long.   generally this card will come with the half height back plate to allow the VGA port to be beside the main board allowing for the installation in a half height system.

I have a dell deminsion 8200 that I have upgraded to windows 7 will this video card work with my system and work with windows 7 32 bit operating system?

To find out if the card will work with your dell desktop you need to see if the slot on your motherboard is compatible PCI-E 2.0 x16 pins on the card. You'll need to find out what motherboard you have and then look up its specifications.

As for windows, I am running 64 bit Windows 7 and the card works just fine for my machine. However, you'll need to go onto the manufacture's website and see if the drivers are compatible with Windows 7 32 bit.

hello I have a dell xps 410 desktop will this card work for it? trying to find something that will work and don't wanna spent hundreds of dollars

I like this card.  I have two monitors running with it and can hook a third to it.  (HDMI Nexus 10 for example.).

It would seem on the face of it the only issue you might encounter is the PCI Express.  This card is 2.0 and the Dell is 1.0.  These cards are all supposed to be backwards compatible but you will not get the full bang for the buck.  If you're not a gamer you won't even notice the difference.  
I would check with the Dell people just to be on the safe side.
