Will this card allow use of two monitors displaying different windows on each screen?

Yes, you just attach the dual-split dongle and then connect a monitor to each port on the dongle.

Are there Linux drivers for this card? I'm wanting to use it with MythTV on a Dell Optiplex 380.

Yes there are drivers for linux for this adaptor it does depend a bit on what distribution is being installed. Some have them built in others you will have to get them from nvidia's site.

Does this card come with an actual low profile bracket? The one shown does not look low-profile and I'm concerned about that.

I purchased this exact card in Aug 2013 and yes it came with the low profile bracket. You'll have to change the bracket out as the installed bracket is the standard height, but yes, the low profile is included(loose).

Can anyone confirm this will run with a 240watt power supply?

This item does very well with lower end power supplies. I have it in several older model dells (OptiPlex 360, 380, and slim tower 390s). They use very little power which is why there is no 6 pin adapter.

I am using this card in my MS 2012 R2 Server. It just installed a MS basic adapter.

Not sure about MS Windows 8.1. Sorry pal. It is a nice card from PNY.

I would recommend the following card for 8.1;
EVGA 02G-P3-2738-KR GeForce GT 730 2GB 128-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 Video Card. 
It's nice and affordable. Works great in my Win 7 workstation.

Will this fit into a Dell SFF Optiplex 780?

I don't have one to try it in, but it has the low profile bracket in the box (not in the picture).  Couple of screws to switch out the brackets.  I have them in SFF HP dc7800s and dc7900s without any problems.

Will this work with a Emachine T6412? Im basic computer level but I am not sure on the power this will use and power supply.
It will have AMD athalon 64 3400+ processor, 2.2Ghz, 1600 FSB 512KB L2 Cache, supporting it.

Hi Mindy,

This is a great card which doesn't need any extra power for the card. It only uses the PCI Express bus for power. You will need a PCI Express 2.0 x16 for the card. Just double check that you have one available. Use should have 8GB of RAM if you are using Windows 7 professional. Forget Windows 8, is junk.

It should. It worked great in a Dell Dimension C521 bought in 2006. I just had to switch the bracket to shorter one. It goes in a PCIe slot.
