Is the fan quiet?

Yes it is.  I have about a dozen of them which I am using for mining cryptocoins, overclocking them even higher than out of the box. The GPU is at 100% load 24/7. Most of my 750Ti's are not in a case. However 2 are and they are very quiet too. Normally the fans are at 40% speed. If you raise the speed to 100% then they make more noise but this doesn't seem to happen on its own.  The power supply's fan is much louder than the fan on the graphics card.  I wouldn't worry about the noise at all.

Question 2

Will this work with a 300w PSU?

I know the PNY site sez 300w but everyone else's 750Ti that is rated at 60w draw doesn't require a 6 pin power connection and is compatible with a 300w PSU in a modestly loaded desktop configuration.  So is PNY just being ultra conservative in ther specs?

It really depends on everything that is in the computer. Newegg has a power supply calculator. It is a great tool to get a ball park idea of your power supply needs. http://images10.newegg.com/BizIntell/tool/psucalc/index.html I do not recommend using a power supply that is running more than 80% of its capacity.

Question 3

I need a card compatible with an HP Envy 17t laptop, will this be what I'm looking for? If not, what is good to use? I currently only have the Generic PnP Monitor on Intel HD graphics 4600 that came with the laptop. I do not do any hardcore gaming but often run graphics intensive conversion programs

You cannot install this video card on a laptop. It is for desktop only.
Most laptop's video card cannot be upgraded as it is soldered to motherboard circuit or integrated in chipset or CPU. 
There are very few laptops with video card upgradability, but you will have to purchase it from the manufacturer if it is even available. There is no standard interface, and only HP will have compatible video card.

Question 4

How is the cooling on this card having only one fan?

I am not a hard core gamer, but do run WOW and SWTOR for a few hours every now and then.

I have noticed that my case temperatures and video card temps are way down since installing this card. I guess since it doesn't need any extra PCI-e power from the power supply, nVidia has hit their mark with the new lower power architecture.

Love this card and have recommended it (and installed it) to several friends who are also happy with this card!

will this card run bf4?

Yes, but don't expect it to run the game on ultra settings. This advantage of this card is performance per watt as it sips power in comparison to other video cards. If you are not consider about energy consumption then look elsewhere as you can gain more performance at a similar price.

Myself, I wanted the power savings and that is why I purchased this. Modern games are playable with this card.

Does this product come with a adapter from dvi to vga and mini hdmi to hdmi?

Mine didnt come with any adapters sadly. I was under the impression that it would. But it didnt set me back as I already had my adapters from previous cards.

Question 7

it askes for gddr5 memory does that mean i cant use ddr3 ram for it to take or is that just what the gpu gives when it is hooked up to the motherboard?

They are two different things. Tons of information about it online. I got the GTX 750 Ti for my wife's computer that sees a lot of moderate graphics duty. It works perfectly. For that user niche, I think it's, hands down, the best value available on the market today. A balls to the walls gamer would probably want something a little more beefy.

I need  a new video card for playing world of warcraft , I have a gt520 now and a hp h8-1210 would this be a good replacement? and it needs no other power source than the motherboard? ty

I bought this card for WoW a year or two ago and it does great for it. I put it in some prebuilt HP I had and it plays most games really well. And yes, it runs completely off of power from the PCIe slot. No extra cables to plug in. This card is pretty much the definition of plug and play.

Is this 2 gb card expandable allowing one to add more memory and if so what are the limitations?

It is a 2 gb card it is not expandable. I gamed at 1080p and never ran into memory issues with it. Great card!

I have a hp pavilion hpe with a nvida 530 graphics can pci express 16x 2 gb - will my computer be able to handle this card ?

The GeForce GTX 750 Ti has a TDP of only 10 watts more than the GeForce GT 530. Also it doesn't require power from the power supply, it's powered only by the PCI-Express slot. This card is small and low energy, TDP of 60 watts. It should be a simple drop in upgrade.
