I have dual monitors, what type of connectors would I need to purchase.  My displays use DVI cables?

You shouldn't need to purchase any for 2 displays using dvi.   There is one dvi on the card for the first display and it comes with an adapter ( dvi to display port) you can use for he second.  With in the control panel, in cluded in the driver instaltion, you can select primary and secondary.   You can also play with some custom display tuning using other nvidia setup.    This card is pretty awesome.  It's compact which is great for a discreet but moderatley powered work station.  This cards performance vs size was enough to convince me to hold on Even considering k4200 or up.   Until they release Maxwell tech or better I would sooner pair 2 k2200.   This card can also be set to TCC driver mode

Does this card have a standard bracket or low profile?

Standard.   For nomal instaltion its standard only.   Try k620 for a low profile.   Since I have zero clue what your needs or purpose are for he k2200 I'm not sure if that is a compromise.   I have a k600 and a k420 and 600 as well which are OK cards I have since utilized them in a low pro configuration for a refuburished dells that I now use to control machines.   My k2200 is in my go to work station that Handel's the majority of simplistic tasks for graphic design and cad for machines.    For rendering and major graphics and 3d scanning I use an older ,custom built compture with gtx 960.    The k2200 however is a solid choice compact.  It's quite and perfect for my office work station.  I complimented it with an evo 850.   I can turn the system on log in quick check facebook and list of new emails and fire up the cad in less than 2 minutes

Question 3

is this unit (NVIDIA® Quadro® K2000 VCQK2000-PB 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Workstation Video Card) or the this unit (PNY Quadro K2200 VCQK2200-PB 4GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Workstation Video Card) compatible with the Dell Precision T1700 MT /SSF?

I believe so, with up to date drivers. I have utilized it in my Dell Precision T1600. I have tried it alone and in a Multi-gpu configuration with a Quadro 600( While "unsupported" It worked quite well, I belive that's the Maxwell technology. Unfortunately the dell T1600's second PCIe x16 slot is only wired x4 so the only compatible second card I know that will work is the Quadro600, other wise the BIOS fails to post. )

I really Like this card.  Its very stout. Its not as fast as the 750ti with rendering, but its very for CFD it stands to be the best I have tried. Please note the this card and the GTX 750ti are the highest quality I have had to date.

I also discovered that the This card, the Quadro K2200 with Maxwell  architecture supports TCC mode so it can operate as a Tesla device. I look forward to testing this between projects.

Question 4

Anyone know how long this card is?  Customer wants a microATX case but it looks like the fan cover really extends far off the actual card.

Question 5

Has anyone tested this with Windows 10?  Does the manufacturer say it's compatible with Windows 10?  Under Specifications, all that's listed under 'Operating Systems Supported' is: "Windows, Linux".  Not very reassuring...

While Nvidia has not released their final WHQL Windows 10 drivers for the Quadro cards, they are supported and work with Windows 10.

Question 6

How is this even a deal?  You can get better performance for about the same price or better that has 256-bit DDR 5 with the PCI 3.0 lane standard.  Unless, were talking about capability for heritage hardware.  But even under those conditions I wouldn't really call that workstation worthy for Solidworks, or 3D rendering.

It's reliability that I'm after, this is not meant for everyday video game or low level CAD use. 3D rendering is only part of what I do, I run finite element analysis that really tortures the Video card. This is meant for professional use, if you don't do tasks that are demanding or if you don't need the reliability, then you will have more value for your money if you don't buy a workstation card. It will work well as long as the motherboard supports PCI Express 2.0.

Question 10

I have a Quadro 2000 in my Precision T3600. Can I add a Quadro 2200 and take advantage of having two cards? Or do I have to add another Quadro 2000? And should I do that as opposed to using a single new Quadro 2200?

Since SLI isn't available it shouldn't be a problem to add the K2200. Running two graphics card not in SLI sync will allow you to have more monitors not really more power.  Programs will only utilize the graphics card that the program is displayed upon. The k2200 does have more power than your k2000 but a higher grade card like the k4200 will out perform easily two k2200's.
