Does it take a 9V battery or AAA batteries, and is a power adapter included?
It takes 4 AAA batteries, which are not included. The 9V refers to the plug-in power adapter supplied in the box, not to a battery. Use the adapter on the counter and keep AAAs for cordless use.
Does it turn off, or does it stay on while it is plugged in?
Press ON/OFF to shut it down at any moment. Auto-off saves power when the scale sits idle, and with the adapter connected you can keep it always-on so it stays ready between weighing steps.
How accurate is it, and what should I do if the reading drifts?
It reads in 1 g steps. Use it on a flat, dry surface away from drafts, heat and vibration. If numbers creep, recalibrate: press UNIT to the internal value, press TARE, then load the weight shown until PASS appears.
How much can it weigh, and which units does it show?
Capacity is 13 kg / 30 lb in 1 g steps. Press UNIT to switch between g, kg, oz, lb and lb:oz, so one scale covers bread dough, whole chickens, produce, parcels and bulk meal prep.
Does it come with a bowl, and how do I weigh in my own container?
No bowl is included. The stainless platform lifts off for washing and a clear cover shields the display. Set any bowl on the pan, press TARE to zero it, then add ingredients to read net weight only.
