Great PSU for me 1/13/2011 11:06:57 AM

Pros: I bought this thing back in 2005 and it's been running every day since then just about.

Cons: One quirky episode after 5 years of use where it seemed to have died, but then after tapping and poking around on it , fired back up and has continued on.

Overall Review: I know they aren't selling this anymore...that's too bad. I'd buy another one if they did.

Awesome PSU! Flawless! 7/23/2006 12:44:34 AM

Pros: This things rocks. It's quiet, it's sleek, it's sexy, and it lights up nice and pretty in your case! The reviews rave over this thing! I got this to replace this cheap junkie power supply for Chiefmax and wow I have had zero problems in this area ever since. This is a definate buy for any PC enthusiast! The rails on this PSU also are very steady. I have an SLi rig and this thing really does the job when power is needed.

Cons: The shiney finish made me paraniod because I didn't wanna scrath it haha.

Overall Review: I wish the front fan lighted up blue like the back one did. Oh well. Awesome PSU over all!

no more random shutdowns 7/21/2006 9:56:25 AM

Pros: great psu! good design, very polished. best part, runs my pc without random shutdowns, gives more then enough juice to my system. had antec neo he 500 and was not compatible with my mobo asus a8n premium..warning to owners of those products, this psu works fine.

Cons: the sata wires came scraped up, with the bare wire showing, patched it up with electrical tape, but quality control needs to up their standards..

Overall Review: should i replace this for same one, because the wires might become a problem in the future? i am overseas so it is a big hassle..

Great performance 9/30/2005 1:03:46 PM

Comments: This is a great PSU, the only problems I had with it is the installing of it. The wires where a bit hard to handel in my opinion. Other than that, it works great, can handel all my fans and processors. Excellet PSU.

Great PSU! 9/16/2005 7:26:59 PM

Comments: This is probably one of the best PSU's you can buy. This PSU could probably run more then 520wts. This quality stuff, but in retrospect I would have gotten the OCZ 600watt lol.

Comments: Wow. I upgraded from a 3 year old Antec TruPower 330 and what a difference! Fantastic power and great cables. Plus I love the universal power adapter---great addition if I want to move to another board at some time.

Great Buy 9/11/2005 4:00:02 PM

Comments: I have heard great reviews of this product so I bought it a little time ago. This powers my 3500+ / 7800GTX with little drop in voltages (which I can always adjust to compensate via knobs on back of unit). The power supply is very quiet, and the green glow certainly is a plus. A must have item.

Beauty and a Beast 8/28/2005 8:09:57 AM

Comments: This OCZ power supply is a BIG, beautiful, beast! Too bad I can't see it in my case, I can only see the ghostly green glow on the wall behind it. Be aware though - this puppy's a full 7 inches deep! A whole 1-1/2 inches deeper than the Thermaltake 420W PSU it replaced. It was a "no-room-to-spare" fit in my tower case (mostly due to long CD drives, which I will try to relocate). Installation was typical with no problems, other than a little extra effort required to fit and run the cables. The cabling and connectors are heavy duty with extra shielding on the HD lines, rock solid voltages even under heavy loads, and it's virtually silent. My old Thermaltake Purepower 420W PSU lasted 18 months but showed it's weakness when I installed an ATi GPU that required extra power. Improperly made power terminations on the MOBO connector overheated and became a source of high resistance, causing GPU failure and MOBO instability - I will never buy a Thermaltake PSU again. And, as usual, hat's off to NewEgg - A+++++
