Like the energizer bunny this psu is! Bought in 2009 for a new build, still going strong!

Pros: cheap and extremely long lasting. I'm building a new system now, the only thing I'm not replacing is this PSU.

Cons: no modular plugs

Other Thoughts: If this ever finally gives up the ghost, I will definitely purchase another.

Still going strong 24x7x365 since 2007

Pros: I bought this in 2007 to power a Windows based PC (NAS, Plex, iTunes etc), running 24x7x365. No issues, powering the mobo, 4 large fans, and 5HDDs. Only maintenance is vacuum / dust off once a year.

Cons: None

Powering my PC for the past 6 years and still going strong

Pros: My dad bought this psu for my first "gaming pc" back in 2011 and it is still going strong in late 2017. My old pc went through many configuration changes such as new ram, new graphics card, and more hard drives, but the power supply never failed me in all its years of service. The pc this power supply resides in is no longer my main computer, but I still occasionally use it for some light gaming and light workloads and the power supply seems to keep pushing forward despite its age.

- Super reliable (at least in my case that is)
- Quiet

My specs:
- AMD Athlon II X4 645 3.1Ghz
- Lenovo AM3 760g motherboard
- 8gb ddr3 1333 MHz
- MSI Radeon HD 7770 1gb
- 500gb Hitachi HDD + 1tb Seagate HDD

Cons: - Probably not the most efficient power supply out there (no 80+ rating)
- Only one 6-pin PCIe connector

Other Thoughts: Despite the apparently bad reputation of Thermaltake's TR2 line up of power supplies, this one seems to be the exception having powered my pc non-stop for the past six years and counting. I would recommend this power supply to anyone looking for a basic upgrade from an oem power supply and looking to do some light to mid-range gaming/workloads. However, If you are looking to do some more intensive tasks or you want to play higher-end games, I would recommend looking for something more modern and higher end.

Best Money Ever Spent

Pros: I bought one of these in April of 2007. The sporadic whining noise started about a month ago in September of 2017. It is still working. I am shopping tonight for a replacement. That is over 10 years of 24/7/365(6) powering my home made OpenBSD desktop. That is a pretty darn good in my book for any man made product.

Cons: I really can't think of one.

Other Thoughts: It survived two moves across the continent. I am really torn between buying another one of these of getting something more "modern" for about the same money.

one bad out of 3 (died at 8 years old)

Pros: I bought 2 of these in 2009 one of them died this year 2017 which I guess you can't really ask much more but I still didn't like that it died on a customer. The other 2 one of which I bought this year no problems so far but I still think I might try another brand next time.

Cons: died after 8 years if you can call it a con...

Other Thoughts: didn't spark when it died like others I have experienced

Good Little PSU

Pros: 1. Well, its just a simple PSU really. Not much else to say.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Mine came with a dead fan so I just replaced it with another I had laying around. Took about 5 minutes. No biggie and not worth having to box it back up, get an RMA, ship it out, and wait for another. Just a quick easy fix. No product is perfect, I get it. I would still totally buy this same PSU again if I needed one which I will down the road for another small build or whatever.

Also, people keep complaining about not enough power and blah blah. These people who claim to have lots of knowledge about computer hardware need to go Google about rails and loads on those rails. Ya know, all that stuff you kinda MUST know when deciding which power supply to go with. Kinda scary people are out there building computers and don't understand the basic things about a power supply and the hardware they are hooking it up to :\ :\ :\ :\

I bought this for a simple HTPC build for my living room. I put my older i7 920, 16gb DDR3, Sabertooth x58 M/B, bought a cheap GeForce 8400 GS, and this power supply. The nice little PSU is perfect for it and does the job great.

Great power supply!

Pros: This power supply has plenty of plug ins for various internal components. I am just rebuilding a new computer and saw that I had been using this power supply for over six years on my current computer. Perhaps the most interesting thing to me is that my projected power needs were just under 400w and this 430w supply never skipped a beat. The power supply was easy to install and fit into my mid-tower case with plenty of room to spare. It is rare to find a power supply that doesn't cause issues at some point, but this thermaltake has been a beast for me. I have ran plenty of games on my computer and it handled all of the power needs my system had like a champ. I would highly recommend this power supply to anyone building a mid level system or lower.

Cons: Nothing.

says "6 x Peripheral". lie, only 4

Pros: hmm.

Cons: was looking for power supply for an old computer with 6 4pin molex plugs.
specs on newegg says "6 x Peripheral" but that's a flat out lie. it only has 4.

i could of and would bought a different power supply if I only needed 4 molex.
